Stewards’ Club Sign-up Form

• As a steward you’ll be checking festival goers’ entry badges, monitoring numbers at each gig and helping as necessary at the venue
  
  
• There are usually at least two volunteer stewards at the venue’s entrance
  
  
• The longest duty period is three and a half hours 
  
  
• An area steward will be your immediate point of contact with the Festival organisers should there be any issue that can’t be resolved on the spot (such as police/first aid assistance, performer queries and so on).
  
  
• The volunteer stewards are also supported by professional stewards (whose role is to monitor and manage wider crowd control issues).

 

We are seeking volunteer stewards for duty at specific gigs and venues and also area stewards who are able to take a more supervisory role on the day. Previous experience of being at least a volunteer steward is desirable for an area steward.

Previous stewarding experience at the Marlborough Jazz Festival (as a volunteer or area steward) or at other music festivals:
Time slots (You can sign-up for more than one!) We can’t promise to offer you a specific stewarding time, but if you have a strong preference, please indicate this below (times are approximate). Things can get really hectic in the evenings, so volunteers are most appreciated for the evening stints.
