FEVER: A Tribute to Peggy Lee with the BuddyGreco Trio and Lezlie Anders
Website
This great show comes to Marlborough direct from the West End and starring one of the world’s most
celebrated jazz stars is a highlight of the 2010 Marlborough International Jazz Festival. Buddy Greco
is a survivor of Holywood’s famous ‘Rat Pack’, which featured Humphrey Bogart, Dean Martin, Frank
Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. He began his career as the pianist with the legendary Benny Goodman
Orchestra. Since then, Buddy has appeared at every major venue in the United States. He received
Golden Discs for his recordings of That’s why the Lady is a Tramp. In the past five years, vocalist
Lezlie Anders has completed five acclaimed world tours, two television spectaculars and five
recording projects in addition to her own busy schedule as resident singer at The Desert Inn’s
Starlight Theater in Las Vegas. Matt Skelton (drums) has worked with Art Farmer, Scott Hamilton,
Alan Barnes, Stacey Kent, Maria Ewing, Claire Martin and the Pasedena Roof Orchestra. Dave
Chamberlain
(bass) was born in San Diego. He has worked with Joe Cocker, Manhattan Transfer,
Tracy Ullman, the Platters and Bruce Willis.
Anders made the material live and certainly looks the part. Greco’s charm, swing and vibrancy is
winning.
